​About Us – The Story Behind Our Garden Center

The Full Story
 

Maple Leaf Farms began its journey in 2008 under the name Maple Leaf Gardens, located on a beautiful 13+ acre farm along Route 34 in Holmdel, NJ. In our early years, we built our foundation with a diverse selection of plant material and an extensive bulk yard, quickly gaining traction within the local community. However, as demand for our products grew, so did our need for a larger space to accommodate our expanding inventory.
 

With our sights set on growth and improvement, we searched for the perfect location—one that would keep us close to our loyal customers while allowing us to expand. After much searching, we found the ideal home: a breathtaking 135+ acre farm on Route 9 in Manalapan, NJ.

In 2016, Maple Leaf Farms was born. This new location allowed us to expand our inventory tenfold, making it possible to offer an even greater selection of plants, trees, shrubs, and garden essentials. With a property this size, we realized the potential to grow into something even bigger—a true destination for all things gardening, landscaping, and country living.

In 2022, after years of success, we sold our Route 34 store in Holmdel and fully transitioned all of our inventory to our new and improved home in Manalapan, NJ.
